For Tidypay merchants

Tidypay has shut down. Keep selling with Svippit.

Tidypay filed for bankruptcy in May 2026. If you sold with Tidypay, you can have a Svippit store live in minutes. Your customers pay with Vipps or MobilePay, and you pay no monthly fees.

VippsMobilePay

An honest fit check

Svippit is not a payment terminal provider. It replaces Tidypay for some merchants, not all. Here is the honest picture.

Svippit is a good fit if you
  • Sell physical or digital products and want a simple online store
  • Want to take in-person payments by letting customers scan a QR code and pay with Vipps or MobilePay
  • Run a small shop, a side business, a club, or sell at markets and events
  • Have a registered business in Norway, Denmark, or Finland
Svippit is probably not for you if you
  • Need a physical card terminal for high-volume counter sales
  • Run a restaurant that depends on table ordering and kitchen integration
  • Need deep integrations with cash registers, ERP, or accounting-driven POS flows

If that sounds like you, a dedicated POS provider is a better match. No hard feelings.

Questions from Tidypay merchants

What happened to Tidypay?
Tidypay AS in Norway and Tidypay Sverige AB both filed for bankruptcy in May 2026. The estates are handled by court-appointed administrators, and there has been no public guidance for merchants about continued service.
Is Svippit a replacement for my Tidypay terminal?
Not one to one. Svippit does not offer card terminals. Instead, you get an online store, and for in-person sales your customer scans a QR code and pays with Vipps or MobilePay on their own phone. For many small merchants that covers everything they used the terminal for.
What does Svippit cost?
There are no monthly fees and no setup costs. Svippit charges 10% per completed sale, invoiced monthly. Vipps MobilePay charges their own processing fee separately. If you sell nothing, you pay nothing.
Can my customers pay in person?
Yes. Share your store link or print the QR code for your store or a specific product. The customer scans it, pays with Vipps or MobilePay, and you see the order right away in your dashboard.
How fast can I be selling again?
Creating a store and adding products takes minutes. Connecting Vipps MobilePay to your organization can take a few business days if you do not already have an agreement, so start that part early.
What about my Tidypay terminal and unpaid settlements?
Those are handled by the bankruptcy estate, not by new providers. Contact the court-appointed administrator for Tidypay AS or Tidypay Sverige AB about hardware, outstanding settlements, and claims.
